Fun alternatives to the fowsc MT build?
Hey there guys,
Seeing InStars MT thread made me wonder. What are some fun new alternatives to the build? I know of the Unseen build and the regular build and both of them are really starting to get boring.
What are the skills that are absolutely necessary for MT?

The standard pug build is as it is because spiking the shard wolf in wailing forest went out of fashion a very long time ago, so for pugs you are pretty much bound to running a/e with at least sliver. In guild manly teams you can get a warrior to take death's retreat or run a t3 and this opens up a lot of options for the MT bar, the one that has become popular is this:

Fall back gives you the option to move fast for pulls without shadow beasts in (ToC and Battlefield) and WSR means you can easily res dead terras without wasting scrolls. But really the only skills that are needed are these:

I guess death's charge is optional too but nobody runs without it so w/e. Mental block isnt needed, but it helps alot and it takes practice to survive on top of forge without it. I would suggest one of either mental block or heart of shadow is pretty much required. The other two skills are completely optional though, the only real problem is that you can't take damage skills due to the SF cap.

Yea I was sad when people didnt spike the shard wolf anymore, took a lot of fun out of the build options. And yea the A/P build is an alternative but it isnt a fun one to me, almost the same fundamentals as the pug A/E unseen build.
Hmm, ya paranon you pretty verified to me that I cant be flexible with the MT build in a pug, pretty much stuck with the same ol' same ol'.
Oh well
Thanks for the help tho

You could run it on a diff profession. Daggers+EBSoH+EVAS are enough for wolf usually, so any 2ndary is possible. I sometimes MT on ranger when I'm bored. WDing pulls with slow spikers is lulzy ^___^

OF would have energy probs unless E/Mo, just à note. And for derv I'd stick with SF but thats just my opinion.

OF ele can use matra of earth combined with stone striker, that provides more than just enough energy.
But perma SF is still faster then OF ele...

Sometimes I take recall to mess with the team. 1/2 through balling bridge mobs? Recall out.
The only place it's actually useful, though, is killing the forest wolf and during Defend.

Out of curiosity, what are people doing with warriors in the temple area? I can solo all the cave spiders and shard wolves myself, wondering if that's a feasible skill for speed clearing.

Not unless you can take the hunt quest, kill all those those things, and kill khobay in under 10 minutes.

First of all I was talking about E/Me, forgot to write that. Im guessing u did E/A, and that will obviously work, but as E/Me forest will be sketchy with traps n shit. Also MT sucks without shadowsteps.

As MT you can mess around with bringing MoP if you have good spikers (vos/100B), clearing up a space in your party.
